| 2020 Pinot Noir Releases
We are excited and proud to release both the 2020 Bonaccorsi Fiddlestix Pinot Noir and the 2020 Bonaccorsi Family Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County.
Sommelier Peter Palmer tasted these wines and says:
2020 Bonaccorsi Fiddlestix Pinot Noir
Earthy, rich soil and mushroom scent, plus cracked black peppercorn and toasted spice on the nose. Woodsy, like a northern CA redwood forest; smells big, but the wine is not opaque; more full ruby red with pink and orange highlights. With air, caramel and butter start to emerge, plus pastry crust, giving the wine a fruit pie-like quality. On the palate the fruit flavors are ripe, heady, and baked: apple, fig, cherry and blackberry galette. Fresh ground coffee, smoke and toast on the full, warm and structured finish. Seems a pinot noir for the depths of winter, with duck confit or cassoulet. Delish!
2020 Bonaccorsi Family Pinot Noir
Clear and bright ruby color; attractive, transparent color. Baking spice, rose petal and sappy red fruits on the nose. Red plum and cran-apple on the palate, with a deeper cola and blue fruit essence, plus tart blood orange rind. Showing very well right now and right out of the bottle; medium bodied, with some heftier weight in the mouth, and a spicy, refreshing finish. Very pretty and complete.
